Food & Consumables Team Associate

Position Overview

The Food and Consumables Team Associate role at Walmart Canada involves delivering outstanding customer service in line with Walmart's core beliefs and values. The associate will maintain and organize the food and consumables department, assist with stocking, and support the sale of merchandise.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and zone the department ensuring shelves, tables, and storage areas are orderly and products are placed correctly.
• Regularly rotate inventory and inspect items for expiration dates to maintain product quality.
• Ensure merchandise is accurately signed and priced.
• Comply with standards related to cold chain management, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, food handling, rotation procedures, sell-by dates, and expiration compliance.
• Follow established processes for ordering, clearances, price adjustments including markups and markdowns, and proper labeling/signage.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position begins at $16.15. This rate is stated in both English and French.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
