Job description
Position Overview
The Food and Consumables Team Associate plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service by upholding Walmart's core values. This position involves organizing and maintaining the food and consumables sections, supporting inventory management, and facilitating sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain organized shelves, tables, and bunkers within the department, ensuring products are properly located.
- Conduct stock rotation and monitor expiration dates to ensure product freshness.
- Verify that merchandise is clearly labeled with accurate pricing and signage.
- Comply with food safety standards, including cold chain protocols, thermometer calibration, temperature documentation, proper food handling, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
- Follow established processes for ordering merchandise, managing clearance items, performing markups and markdowns, and handling product labeling.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
