Overview
The Food and Beverage (F&B) Associate at Hilton is entrusted with delivering efficient, professional service of food and beverages, ensuring guests are provided with an excellent dining experience aligned with Hilton's standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service, always prioritizing guest satisfaction.
- Take initiative to resolve issues promptly, communicating effectively with both patrons and colleagues.
- Offer suggestions to improve hotel operations and environment.
- Promote Hilton's services and facilities actively to guests and suppliers.
- Ensure workplace safety for oneself and others during all tasks.
- Have comprehensive knowledge of the food and beverage menu and explain details to guests confidently.
- Understand guests' dietary needs and make appropriate recommendations.
- Complete product knowledge checklists regularly.
- Make culturally appropriate menu suggestions to suit diverse nationalities.
- Be familiar with menu offerings across all hotel outlets to guide guests accordingly.
- Know the operational hours of all restaurants and hotel venues.
- Recommend other hotel restaurants and local attractions to guests.
- Prepare the restaurant for service in accordance with checklists.
- Greet guests warmly, offer assistance with belongings, and introduce oneself.
- Seat guests according to their smoking preferences and escort them to their tables.
- Address guest inquiries immediately or escalate to management if needed.
- Follow service protocols carefully to maintain hotel standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of all service areas per operational procedures.
- Take responsibility for the overall guest experience within the assigned section.
- Welcome and bid farewell to guests throughout the restaurant, regardless of section assignment.
- Prioritize delivering exceptional guest service at all times.
- Exhibit professional and courteous behavior consistently.
- Avoid using offensive language and communicate politely.
- Report accidents or incidents to supervisors or managers promptly.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management who reserve the right to modify job duties without prior notice.
Qualifications & Skills
- Completion of senior high school education or specialized hospitality training.
- Between 1 to 2 years of managerial experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel environment.
- Proficient English communication skills suitable for business interactions.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic about learning new skills to improve performance.
- Adaptable and responsive to changing demands, willing to undertake any task required.
- Team-oriented, cooperative, and supportive of colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service.
- Ability to memorize and promote a wide range of menu items.
- Open, outgoing personality with a positive attitude and willingness to work long hours.
