Role Overview
The Flight Data Coordinator (FDC) is crucial in handling live operational air traffic data that is not automatically processed by the Eurocat Air Traffic Management system at the Brisbane Air Traffic Services Centre (ATSC). Responsibilities include managing critical information flows to domestic systems and international Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) within the National Airspace System (NAS), impacting aviation safety and operational administration.
Work Environment
This position operates within a 24/7 rotational shift structure, reporting to a Service Lead and operationally to the duty Systems Supervisor.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-focused, and excels in high-pressure, fast-moving operational settings. They must collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, maintain professionalism when handling time-sensitive information, and have strong problem-solving ability and technological proficiency.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Proven ability to analyze data, detect issues, and implement effective solutions in complex operational contexts.
- High accuracy and keen attention to detail when managing critical, multi-system information.
- Ability to work autonomously with sound judgment and accountability.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communications skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Strong prioritization and decision-making skills under competing demands in live operational environments.
- Experience with highly automated computer environments and aptitude for learning specialized operational systems.
- Previous involvement in aviation, air traffic management, defense, emergency services, transportation operations, or other safety-sensitive sectors is highly advantageous.
