Job description
Position Overview
The FP&A Analyst will be entrusted with the evaluation of financial statements and projecting the future financial trajectory of the organization. This role involves continuous monitoring and management of the company’s financial plans.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct financial forecasting, reporting, and track operational metrics.
- Develop and assess financial plans for accuracy and viability.
- Examine periodic performance data related to revenue, margins, overhead costs, and spreads.
- Create financial models and analyze data to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide comprehensive financial performance reports for leadership review meetings.
- Review historical results, perform variance analyses, identify market or operational trends, and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate closely with the accounting department to guarantee precise financial reporting.
- Compare and analyze actual business outcomes against planned forecasts and budgets.
- Execute cost analysis, benchmarking, price-cost assessments, and spread evaluations.
- Perform business-specific market and product analysis to aid growth strategies.
- Review and approve capital expenditure requests.
- Assess implications of foreign exchange rate fluctuations on business operations.
- Support make-or-buy evaluations, feasibility studies for internal sourcing, and other qualitative analyses for enhancing cost efficiency and business improvements.
- Conduct working capital studies and cash flow analyses.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Chartered Accountant, MBA in Finance, or equivalent qualification with a focus on FP&A.
- Consistent academic performance with at least 60% marks across all educational levels.
Experience Required
- Between 3 and 7 years of relevant experience in business finance or related fields in either industry or professional services.
- Expertise in financial modeling techniques is essential.
Technical Skills
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, especially advanced proficiency in Excel with complex formulas and functions.
Communication Skills
- Strong proactiveness in communication with the capacity to anticipate potential issues and address them timely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of interacting effectively with stakeholders around the globe.
