Financial Controller

Job Overview

Americana Foods' Frozen Solutions division is looking to hire an accomplished Financial Controller to take charge of the financial operations including accounts receivable/payable, general ledger management, tax compliance, and support strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with local legislative requirements such as Corporate Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax, and international frameworks like IFRS or SOCPA.
• Manage the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.
• Coordinate the external audit processes and all filings with regulatory authorities.
• Compile financial presentations and materials for board meetings.
• Analyze and monitor budget performances through variance analysis.
• Maintain and update forecasts for cash flow as well as working capital needs.
• Cooperate with external stakeholders including insurance providers, suppliers' finance departments, and banks for Saudi entity financial matters.
• Ensure third-party suppliers comply with contractual terms involving deliveries, payments, and commissions.
• Oversee all external payments in collaboration with the head of Accounts Payable, including processes related to Letters of Credit and Bank Guarantees.
• Refine policies over third-party suppliers covering labor, goods, and services to align contracts, purchase orders, receipting, and payments effectively.
• Utilize and enhance financial software solutions to improve operational workflows.
• Regularly update accounting manuals and standard operating procedures.
• Adopt emerging financial technologies such as AI to improve data analysis capabilities.
• Use ERP platforms, Power BI, and planning tools to support evidence-based financial decision making.
• Lead and guide the finance and accounting team encompassing AR, AP, Compliance, and GL groups.
• Promote an environment focused on accountability, teamwork, and ongoing development.
• Heavily invest in learning and growth initiatives within the Finance function.
• Contribute actively to the Saudization program.

Communication Channels

Maintain regular interaction with Finance Directors, team members in Finance, and leaders from Sales, Supply Chain, and Legal departments internally. Engage with ERP support teams and partner universities to support talent development externally.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or closely related disciplines; an MBA or professional qualifications such as CMA or CPA are seen as an advantage.
• Bring a minimum of 10 years' experience in financial controlling roles, preferably within the MENAP region.
