Financial Accountant

Job Overview

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to become a vital member of the Finance team at Holiday Inn Riyadh. This role focuses on ensuring precise financial reporting, upkeep of accounting records, and aiding the hotel's finance operations in compliance with IHG standards and applicable local laws.

Primary Duties

• Record and post journal entries along with General Ledger transactions.
• Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheets, and other accounts.
• Assist in closing procedures at the month-end and year-end.
• Generate financial reports and support budgeting plus forecasting efforts.
• Oversee fixed asset management including depreciation scheduling.
• Ensure adherence to IHG financial policies and local statutory regulations.
• Facilitate internal and external audit activities.
• Work closely with various departments to guarantee precise financial reporting.
• Maintain thorough accounting documentation and enforce internal controls.
• Carry out other finance-related tasks designated by the Director of Finance & Business Support.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Have between 2 and 4 years of experience in accounting, ideally within the hospitality sector.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in financial reporting and General Ledger accounting processes.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting software platforms.
• Exhibit excellent analytical thinking, organizational capabilities, and communication skills.
• Show high attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines effectively.
