About the Company
Join a leading global multinational with a significant international presence, seeking a Financial Accountant to become part of their finance team based in Shannon, Ireland. Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will manage daily finance operations and support multiple international stakeholders. The position involves preparing monthly management accounts, handling payroll across numerous jurisdictions—including Ireland, the UK, Continental Europe, the Middle East, and Australia—and managing financial reporting, compliance, and audit tasks.
Additional responsibilities include managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, assisting with annual budgeting and forecasting, serving as a primary contact for external auditors, and overseeing tax and statutory compliance in partnership with external advisors. The role encourages collaboration within finance teams to enhance processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting. This is a fast-paced role offering rich international exposure suitable for candidates aiming to expand their expertise in a multinational setting.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA) with at least three years of post-qualification experience and a solid foundation in technical accounting. Industry experience will be highly valued, though candidates from Big 4 or Top 10 firms will also be considered. Familiarity with payroll in an international context is advantageous but not essential.
Essential skills include excellent communication, effective stakeholder management, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel is mandatory. The role requires full-time office attendance in Shannon, five days a week.
