Job description
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Finance Data Manager to join our Dublin team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and sustaining comprehensive finance data models, ensuring high data quality, creating insightful reporting solutions, and collaborating closely with various business stakeholders. This role involves advanced data analytics, automation of reporting processes, and delivering actionable financial insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and oversee finance-related data models, datasets, and quality assurance controls.
- Utilize cloud-based platforms, SQL, and other advanced analytics tools to manage and interpret finance data.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards alongside other management reporting solutions.
- Produce KPI reports and deliver analyses to drive understanding of financial and business performance.
- Assist in financial and variance analysis as well as prepare comprehensive management reports.
- Streamline and automate manual reporting and reconciliation tasks to improve efficiency.
- Continuously identify enhancements for data accuracy, reporting workflows, and business processes.
- Collaborate effectively with Finance teams and broader business partners to gather requirements and provide optimal solutions.
- Ensure thorough documentation and adherence to reporting standards throughout all processes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Between 5 and 10+ years of pertinent experience in Finance Data, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Finance Transformation, or similar areas.
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including mastery of DAX formulas, Power Query, and data modeling techniques.
- Strong analytical mindset with solid problem-solving capabilities.
- Extensive experience handling financial data and preparing management reports.
- Advanced SQL skills for complex data manipulation and querying.
- Exposure to Snowflake data platform and/or Python programming is preferred.
- Outstanding communication skills with proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
- Capable of juggling various tasks and meeting tight deadlines effectively.
