As a Finance Business Partner reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you will be a trusted advisor to operational leaders throughout the group. Your responsibilities include leading budgeting and forecasting efforts with operational teams, providing insightful monthly performance reports and variance analysis, and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities with actionable business recommendations. You will also support scenario planning, foster financial literacy, drive accountability across departments, and contribute to enhancements in financial systems and reporting, including dashboards and KPIs. Your ability to simplify complex financial information will enable stronger decision-making and business performance.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be Auckland-based, confident in communication, skilled at asking pertinent questions, and able to influence and build trust across a large, complex organisation. Commercial acumen, curiosity, and a constructive approach to challenging ideas are essential.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Finance Business Partner after qualifying.
• Possession of a CA or CPA professional qualification.
• Demonstrated experience working closely with senior operational leaders.
• Familiarity with complex, multi-entity organisational structures.
• Ability to present financial insights effectively to non-financial audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and knowledge of financial systems such as Sage Intacct, Workday Adaptive Planning, or similar.
• Experience developing or working with Power BI reporting tools.
• Healthcare industry experience is considered highly beneficial.
