About the Role
We are seeking a commercially astute and experienced Finance Business Partner to join a prominent Australian company in the manufacturing and FMCG sector. This role works closely with senior sales leaders and executives to enhance business results through financial analysis, forecasting, strategic planning, and managing revenue streams. It offers a distinctive opportunity to blend financial expertise with commercial leadership, engaging both strategic and operational facets to boost profitability, refine planning processes, and support key business performance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales Managers and executive leadership to craft financial strategies, develop annual budgets, and create long-term planning efforts.
- Take charge of forecasting and oversee performance management within the Sales division, delivering actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Conduct detailed weekly and monthly financial performance reviews to spot trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead revenue management programs aimed at enhancing profitability and minimizing inventory risks.
- Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) by supplying accurate reports and commercial analyses.
- Track sales results against budgets and forecasts, providing consistent updates and variance analyses.
- Produce high-level reports for executive business reviews, quarterly performance assessments, and strategic planning sessions.
- Evaluate and challenge business cases, capital investments, and strategic projects to ensure sound financial decisions.
- Offer commercial advice to both operational teams and sales stakeholders to align actions with objectives involving profit, cash flow, and working capital.
- Identify and promote process improvements that will strengthen financial outcomes and increase operational efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with statutory regulations, internal controls, and corporate governance standards.
- Foster strong partnerships across finance, sales, operations, and leadership to facilitate collaboration and drive business success.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields.
- Professional accreditation such as CPA, CA, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Substantial experience holding roles in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Commercial Finance, or Finance Business Partnering.
- Previous exposure to manufacturing, FMCG, food processing, or other complex operational sectors will be advantageous.
- Excellent commercial judgement with the capacity to convert financial data into concise business insights.
- Proven experience in collaborating with senior management and influencing high-level strategic decisions.
- Advanced skills in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance evaluation.
- Thorough knowledge of revenue management, performance frameworks, and planning methodologies.
- Exceptional communication skills including the ability to present effectively at the executive tier.
- Demonstrated capability to balance strategic vision with practical implementation in a dynamic environment.
- Strong project management aptitude and problem-solving skills accompanied by a focus on continuous process improvements.
