Finance Associate

About the Role

Quantum Light is seeking a proactive Finance Associate to join our Finance team based in the United Arab Emirates. This role involves close collaboration with the CFO to manage daily finance operations within a dynamic investment environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and ownership of monthly financial reporting and management reporting packages.
• Perform reconciliation and administration of financial information for Quantum Light’s entities across the UK and Dubai.
• Assist the CFO with financial reporting and consolidation activities.
• Execute and verify payments, including handling high-value transactions related to investments.
• Take responsibility for ongoing finance processes, focusing on improving workflows and spreadsheet management.
• Develop tracking and reporting mechanisms for various expenditures such as travel, subscriptions, and payroll.
• Collaborate with Legal, Investment, Fundraising, and other departments on finance-related tasks.
• Contribute to finance projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing business processes.

Candidate Profile

• Possess 3 to 4 years of experience in accounting, audit, or finance roles.
• Background in Big Four or Top 10 firms is preferred.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles along with advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets.
• ACCA or ACA qualification achieved or currently pursuing.
• Keen understanding of Xero accounting software and UK VAT and corporation tax regulations is advantageous.
• High attention to detail and confidence in managing complex financial data and substantial transactions.
• Analytical mindset, well-organized, proactive, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
