About the Employer and Role
ConnectSquads, a division of Connectalents specializing in IT recruitment and staff augmentation across the MENA region, is recruiting a Risk Management Associate on behalf of a leading Fintech corporation in Saudi Arabia. The employer is a renowned financial conglomerate with over 40 years of market leadership operating extensively across the Middle East and North Africa. Their portfolio includes investment banking, brokerage, asset management, private equity, commercial banking, financial technology, and non-banking financial services. They are celebrated for innovative financial offerings combined with strict governance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor financial and asset positions of margin clients and firm portfolios throughout KSA, UAE, Kuwait, and OLT.
- Conduct margin calls for clients surpassing established margin thresholds.
- Calculate client margin interest and analyze it in comparison to commissions monthly.
- Compile monthly margin change and waiver reports.
- Perform credit assessments and produce suitability reports.
- Generate local regulatory and exchange reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Support approval processes for OLT products and new structured trading products.
- Maintain and update lists of margin securities.
- Ensure adherence to applicable Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) regulations.
- Address AML, CTF, and sanctions inquiries promptly.
- Complete mandatory AML/CTF training within stipulated timeframes.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned within the department's scope.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Have between 3 to 5 years' professional experience in a comparable position, preferably within Capital Markets or Brokerage Firms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English languages, with strong communication skills encompassing writing, speaking, and listening.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
- Identify and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure while ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
