Finance & Accounting Senior Associate - Public Sector

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Finance & Accounting Senior Associates to join a significant finance transformation project based in Doha, Qatar. This full-time, onsite position involves contributing to the design of a Finance Target Operating Model for a public-sector client. Candidates must be fluent in Arabic and English and already reside in Qatar with valid residency status.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to finance and accounting workstreams within a large-scale transformation effort.
• Evaluate current finance processes and support recommendations for the future operating model.
• Assist with budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting activities.
• Analyze financial datasets and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
• Create high-quality PowerPoint presentations, reports, and deliverables tailored for clients.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to capture operational and financial needs.
• Identify areas to enhance finance processes, governance structures, and reporting methods.
• Present findings and strategic suggestions to clients and management teams with confidence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in finance and accounting.
• Prior experience in the public sector or government settings is highly desirable.
• Strong foundation in finance and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and finance process frameworks.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills capable of producing client-ready professional presentations.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and client engagement abilities.
• Professional fluency in both Arabic and English languages.
• Qualifications such as CMA, CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent are advantageous.
• Based in Qatar with valid residency/QID, and availability to work onsite in Doha.
