Role Overview
The role of Field Technician - Splicer involves performing essential broadband installation and fault rectification duties at customer locations. The technician will work on site from the customer switch box to the premises connection, ensuring service reliability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Maintain 99.99% uptime for customer broadband services.
- Ensure network switches are properly maintained in line with standards.
- Provide timely connectivity support to various internal teams.
- Keep the network database up to date and regularly report to management.
- Respond to customer complaints on site and resolve issues within designated turnaround times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Monitor Network Management System (NMS) applications and take necessary action on network events.
- Investigate repeated complaints and coordinate corrective actions through proper escalation.
- Adhere strictly to safety and cardinal rules.
- Follow prescribed processes accurately.
- Offer structured feedback to management to improve service delivery permanently.
Requirements
- 0 to 3 years of experience as a Field Network Engineer, particularly in broadband services.
- Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, crimping, and internal wiring.
- Basic networking knowledge and strong willingness to work in field environments.
- Skills in Wi-Fi router and switch configuration, splicing, OTDR handling, and cable pulling as part of onsite tasks.
- Qualifications ranging from SSC and ITI to Diploma graduates are acceptable.

Salary Range: ₹20,000 to ₹27,000 per month.
