Role Overview

The Public Sector Consulting vertical is seeking a Business Development Manager based in Bhopal, India, with options to work remotely or in a hybrid model. The role demands an early morning to afternoon shift aligned with Eastern Standard Time (9 AM to 6 PM EST).

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage sales expertise to identify and secure business opportunities in the Public Sector, concentrating on Federal, State, and local government entities.
• Manage the entire sales process for designated territories, including client negotiations and transitioning new clients to account management.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of Public Sector contract procurement procedures.
• Utilize internal teams to develop proofs of concept and provide subject matter expertise that ensures strong client engagement.
• Conduct forecasting and account planning on monthly, quarterly, and annual timelines.
• Rekindle relationships with inactive accounts and drive new revenue from those sources.
• Assist with onboarding clients by handling essential documentation such as MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, Task Orders, and Purchase Orders.
• Support proposal development for various projects or assignments.
• Contribute to the global expansion of delivery operations across other countries.
• Initiate and persistently pursue outreach efforts via emails and calls to executives at current client companies and prospective partners.
• Travel to government events and industry trade shows to cultivate new client relationships.

Requirements

• A minimum of five years’ experience in IT Consulting Business Development, especially within Public Sector environments.
• Management experience in the IT industry is advantageous.
• Strong strategic thinking capabilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and robust problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills to coordinate business unit activities smoothly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a strong drive to achieve results.
• Maintain and update internal databases such as client records.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations regarding client metrics.
• Respond effectively to client inquiries about delivery-related concerns.
• Preference is given to candidates holding a valid U.S. visa.
• Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and trade events.
