Job description

Role Summary

The F&B Store Keeper holds responsibility for the efficient handling of receiving, storing, issuing, and controlling inventory of food, beverages, and related supplies. This position ensures that stock records are precise, costs are controlled, hygiene standards are maintained, and kitchen and F&B operations are supported promptly per Salayel Hospitality's established protocols.

Primary Duties

  • Checking and confirming deliveries of food, beverage, and operational supplies against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Storing items properly using FIFO and FEFO methods while adhering to hygiene standards.
  • Keeping meticulous inventory records through both electronic systems and manual logs.
  • Distributing supplies to kitchens and F&B outlets strictly based on authorized requisitions.
  • Monitoring inventory levels, identifying slow-moving, expired, or damaged goods for reporting.
  • Performing regular stock counts daily, weekly, and monthly along with assisting in audits.
  • Liaising with Purchasing, Cost Control, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure timely restocking.
  • Adhering to regulations related to food safety, HACCP, and local municipality standards.
  • Ensuring storerooms are consistently clean and well-organized.
  • Supporting cost-control efforts to minimize waste and pilferage.

Candidate Profile

  • Possesses 2 to 4 years of experience as a Store Keeper specialized in food and beverage within hotels, restaurants, or hospitality groups.
  • Well-versed in inventory management techniques and storage best practices for F&B items.
  • Skilled in utilizing FIFO/FEFO principles, tracking expiry dates, and ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Experience with inventory management or ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Excel and inventory software.
  • Physically capable of managing store operations efficiently.
  • Good command of English communication.
  • Preference given to candidates with prior UAE work experience.
