About the Role
Worcestershire County Council is seeking Family Time Workers to join their Family Time Team based in Worcestershire. This role is essential within the Children's Social Work Service to support supervised contact between children and their birth families or friends, ensuring such interactions are safe and positive experiences. The service aims to enhance current good practices by increasing capacity and flexibility to better meet the needs of children, young people, carers, and their families.
Key Duties
- Provide supervised family time services to children to maintain contact with their birth families and friends.
- Facilitate and ensure safe, positive family interactions during scheduled contact sessions.
- Work flexibly across the week, including Monday to Friday and one in four Saturdays, with operating hours from 8am to 8pm on weekdays and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.
- Occasionally travel within and outside the Worcestershire County to deliver services as required.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic and dedicated to supporting children’s positive experiences with their family and friends. Strong communication skills, ability to build rapport quickly, and some prior experience working with children, young people, or families are important for success in this role.

- Employment type: Permanent, full-time or part-time considered.
- Standard working hours: 37 hours per week.
- Salary range: £26,403 - £28,142 annually.
