Role Overview
The Factory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing and production operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules. This role involves managing workforce deployment, monitoring output and quality, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards within the factory premises.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities on the factory floor.
- Assign work to employees ensuring optimal manpower utilization.
- Track production goals, outputs, and productivity levels consistently.
- Ensure production is completed on time and meets specified requirements.
- Inspect product quality to maintain company quality benchmarks.
- Oversee usage of raw materials, aiming to reduce waste effectively.
- Liaise with the Production Manager, Store, Quality Control, and other related departments.
- Enforce discipline, punctuality, and attendance policies among workers.
- Promote adherence to safety protocols and factory operating procedures.
- Identify and address any production-related issues promptly.
- Keep detailed records of daily production, workforce, and material consumption.
- Monitor machinery conditions and report any breakdowns or maintenance needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the factory environment.
- Provide training and guidance to workers on production techniques and safety standards.
- Handle routine worker concerns and workplace issues professionally.
- Ensure seamless shift transitions and fulfillment of assigned tasks within deadlines.
- Provide daily reports on production progress and critical problems to the Factory or Production Manager.
