Job description

Role Overview

This position is responsible for executing planned and reactive maintenance tasks, repairs, and fabric improvements across multiple locations nationwide. The role involves reviewing and enhancing maintenance schedules, troubleshooting malfunctions, and supporting smaller project initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Helpdesk team to perform assigned planned preventative maintenance within the scope of responsibility.
  • Conduct various tasks related to minor mechanical repairs and general building fabric upkeep, including routine general operative duties.
  • Identify maintenance concerns proactively and promptly communicate them to the Helpdesk.
  • Coordinate effectively with Helpdesk and Contract Managers, ensuring all queries are addressed within agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Engage courteously and efficiently with colleagues, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Operate hand and power tools correctly and safely, ensuring all equipment used is properly calibrated and certified according to standards.
  • Support other departments as needs arise.
  • Contribute to the delivery of short- and long-term projects as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on customer satisfaction while working collaboratively in team settings.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with general maintenance, repairs, and basic facilities management.
  • Strong aptitude for fault diagnosis and problem-solving techniques.

  • Strict adherence to health and safety policies and procedures aligned with company and client specifications.
  • Promotion of a proactive safety culture ensuring all work is completed safely and to high standards.
