Position Overview
The role of Fabrication Project Engineer / Construction Engineering Specialist involves reporting directly to the Fabrication Manager and contributing to the COMP5 project as part of the Fabrication Department based in Doha, Qatar.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison for coordination among subcontractors, fabrication yards, and clients, overseeing fabrication progress and daily activities related to the Fabrication Site Coordination (SCTR).
- Develop execution strategies and comprehensive plans prior to project commencement.
- Lead overall project planning, management, and implementation with a strong focus on Safety, Health, Environment (SHE), Quality, and Cost control.
- Evaluate construction approaches and rigorously monitor subcontractors' performance against defined plans using key performance indicators, addressing issues through site verification and facilitating corrective plans to ensure proper execution.
- Oversee and track the procurement process from purchase requisition release through purchase order issuance and final delivery.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 13 years of professional experience within EPC fabrication environments.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
Technical and IT Competencies
- Knowledge and experience in EPC processes, construction methodologies, and offshore facility operations.
- Expertise in fabrication management practices.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Advanced Excel skills encompassing pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions, and formula utilization.
