Independent Fisheries Limited (IFL), a seafood export division within the Sealord Group, specializes in delivering premium New Zealand seafood globally while prioritizing sustainability and responsibility. Role Summary
Based in Christchurch and reporting to the Export Manager, the Export Sales Coordinator will manage export sales orders from the initial processing stage to the preparation of final export paperwork. This role is crucial for ensuring customers receive accurate, compliant, and timely information, facilitating efficient shipment of products internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Process export sales orders using the company's ERP system.
- Handle customer order details and documentation instructions effectively.
- Arrange freight bookings and manage shipment timetables.
- Coordinate with cold storage providers and internal teams to guarantee precise order execution.
- Prepare export declarations, shipping directives, and all necessary export documents.
- Collaborate with agencies such as MPI, Customs, Chambers of Commerce, and freight companies to secure export certificates.
- Ensure export paperwork meets customer criteria and complies with destination market regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and offer after-sales support.
- Keep clients and internal teams updated about shipment progress and any changes.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in export, import, logistics, or international customer service environments is essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when dealing with documentation.
- Strong organizational capabilities to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- A proactive mindset with a strong customer focus.
- Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure.
- Capable problem solver with an attitude for continuous improvement.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of an Export Declarant PIN.
- Familiarity with M3 or comparable ERP systems.
- Experience using TradeWindow Prodoc or similar export documentation platforms.
- Knowledge of seafood, food production, or export industries.
