Job description
Overview
Our client is looking for an Associate Maintenance Engineer to join their team in a regulated manufacturing setting in Tuas, Singapore. This 12-month contract role involves providing technical and documentation assistance to the maintenance department, ensuring compliance with GMP standards, and supporting operations through CMMS data management and vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Support maintenance documentation processes adhering to GMP requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Quality and Manufacturing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Administer the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) by reviewing work orders, facilitating service requests, managing job plans, asset records, and inventory accurately.
- Collect, analyze, and report maintenance data trends from the CMMS to aid operational decisions.
- Perform site verifications to gather maintenance information and coordinate with external vendors to obtain necessary technical documentation and records within designated timelines.
- Use Microsoft Office, SAP, IBM Maximo, and related software to support maintenance activities effectively.
- Assist engineers and leads on both daily operations and specific projects under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of two years’ relevant experience OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least four years’ experience.
- Experience in regulated industries such as Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Manufacturing, or Oil & Gas is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Strong organizational skills to effectively plan and execute tasks and projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Experience using SAP and IBM Maximo.
- Understanding of GMP-related documentation and maintenance planning.
- Skills in technical documentation management, data analysis, reporting, and vendor coordination.
- Familiarity with asset lifecycle management and Microsoft Office applications.
