About the Role
UtiliQuest, LLC is seeking a skilled Locator III who will autonomously identify and mark a variety of underground utilities, including standard, complex, and unique types, using flags and paint to promote safe and efficient project completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Utilize detection equipment to locate and clearly mark all types of underground facilities across various ticket categories
- Troubleshoot challenging utility locates and assist in the identification of critical cable lines
- Conduct audits and investigate damage as assigned by supervisors
- Interpret utility maps accurately to locate underground utilities
- Maintain thorough records of all locate activities
- Respond promptly and politely to excavation notification requests
- Communicate effectively with excavators, utility representatives, and internal teams
- Perform light excavation with a shovel as needed
- Work overtime, travel for assignments, and fulfill on-call and after-hours duties when required
- Operate safely in all weather conditions
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Authorized to work in the United States for this employer
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- At least three years of experience in utility locating
- Valid non-provisional state driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of one year of locating experience
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to work independently in remote locations, including tasks such as raising arms above shoulder level, vehicle operation, fine hand movements, bending, stooping, walking, lifting up to 55 pounds, and use of keyboard and mouse
- Occasionally required to use portable ladders, enter confined spaces, and climb stairs
Compensation
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $25.00 to $30.00.
