Responsibilities
You will operate road sweeping vehicles throughout the Wellington region, maintaining cleanliness of roads, kerb lines, cycle paths, and public spaces. The role requires daily inspection and upkeep of the machinery to ensure optimal performance. All tasks must be performed efficiently, safely, and adhere to high-quality standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Possession of a full New Zealand Class 2 driving license
- Demonstrated experience in operating road sweeping machinery
- Previous use of Schwartz, Johnston, or equivalent sweeping equipment is highly advantageous
- Proficient in performing vehicle inspections and daily maintenance checks
- Commitment to maintaining health, safety, and quality standards
- Ability to work autonomously and organize daily tasks effectively
- Strong communication and time management capabilities
- Dependable and responsible work approach
Additional Desirable Attributes
- Holding a Class 4 driving license
- Experience in road maintenance or working under municipal contracts
- Familiarity with Wellington's road networks
