Role Overview

The Experience Host - Theater Operations will join the Theater Operations team to enhance guest experiences and support interactive aspects of theater productions.

Key Responsibilities

• Boost guest engagement by facilitating themed or interactive components within performances.
• Anticipate guest requirements and offer proactive support for a smooth experience.
• Act as the liaison for immersive or interactive audience elements, ensuring effective communication and guidance.
• Collaborate with creative and front-of-house teams to maintain the quality of immersive experiences throughout the guest journey.
• Assist with audience participation segments and help guests understand their involvement.
• Observe guest reactions and report insights to management for immersive experience improvements.
• Warmly welcome attendees and answer their questions.
• Guide guests to seats, facilities, and concessions efficiently.
• Deliver exceptional service to all patrons, including VIP and guests with access needs.
• Check tickets, whether physical or digital, courteously and promptly.
• Manage entry of latecomers at designated intervals and points.
• Monitor audience behavior and notify supervisors or security about disruptions.
• Support guests with mobility, hearing, or other accessibility requirements.
• Distribute and collect hearing aids or other accessibility equipment as needed.
• At times, serve exclusively as an 'Access Host', taking responsibility for the care of access patrons and any service animals.

Candidate Profile

• Preferably 2 years of experience as a Theater Experience Host or within the hospitality service sector.
• Knowledge of West End, Broadway, or similar theater venues and schedules.
• Basic first aid skills are advantageous but not mandatory (training can be provided).
• Ability to manage teams and perform effectively under pressure.
• Friendly, approachable, and maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Excellent verbal communication abilities.
• Calm demeanor with strong problem-solving skills in demanding situations.
• Meticulous attention to detail and pride in maintaining venue standards.
• Collaborative mindset and adaptability to varied work situations.
