About Wynn Al Marjan Island

Wynn Al Marjan Island, scheduled to open in 2027, will be the UAE’s inaugural integrated resort. Positioned 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in Ras Al Khaimah, the resort will comprise 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 dining venues, a theater, beach club, multiple swimming pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

Position Overview

The resort is seeking a proficient Access Control Officer to become part of its Surveillance team, ensuring secure and efficient access management through dedicated operations and system oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold the company's core values by fostering a positive, service-centric environment aimed at delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Oversee daily access control desk operations, including processing authorized access requests, issuing and encoding credentials, updating or deactivating access rights, managing temporary passes, assigning access groups, and maintaining precise records compliant with established procedures.
  • Authenticate identities, verify approvals, authorization levels, and relevant documentation prior to granting or modifying access permissions.
  • Administer user profiles, access permissions, schedules, readers, alarms, events, and system records using Genetec and other approved security platforms.
  • Continuously monitor door statuses, alarms, access incidents, reader activities, card validity, permissions, and system alerts; promptly escalate abnormalities or urgent issues such as lost or found cards.
  • Perform initial system diagnostics including door status checks, alarm tests, reader functionality verifications, and access group validations before escalating issues as necessary.
  • Analyze access logs, exception reports, and system activities to facilitate investigations, audits, reporting, and access evaluations.
  • Collaborate effectively with Security, IT, People & Culture, Facilities, contractors, and system integrators to resolve access-related concerns while safeguarding confidential security details.
  • Maintain thorough, audit-ready documentation and provide clear shift handovers to ensure continuity and follow-up on outstanding access matters.
  • Support various security divisions across operational needs, investigations, emergencies, events, training, and access awareness initiatives.
  • Guide users regarding access protocols, card usage, lost card reporting procedures, and access request prerequisites.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum qualification: High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Preferred qualifications: Certificates or diplomas in Security, Business Administration, Facilities Management, IT, or related disciplines; training in Genetec, access control, credential management, or security systems is advantageous;
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years in security operations, access control administration, facilities management, customer service, or related operational fields;
  • Desired skills: Hands-on experience with Genetec systems, credential encoding, visitor and key management systems, ANPR systems, CCTV, alarm monitoring, building management systems, audits, reporting, and handling confidential security records;
  • Strong understanding of access control mechanisms including cardholder profiles, authorization levels, schedules, and temporary access management;
  • Capability to precisely apply access control levels aligning access approvals with individuals, roles, departments, and areas;
  • Competence in operating Genetec and associated platforms, troubleshooting access systems, and escalation protocols;
  • Proficiency in credential encoding processes, activation, replacement, and validation aligned with authorized profiles;
  • Skilled at reviewing access requests to identify missing or incorrect authorizations and escalating issues as appropriate;
  • Knowledge of ANPR technology for vehicle identification and access control and supporting vehicular movement documentation;
  • Adept at generating and examining system reports including access logs, vehicle records, alarms, and user activity to assist investigations and audits;
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities for stakeholder engagement;
  • Capable of managing multiple recruitment processes concurrently and providing leadership and mentorship;
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude to improve processes and respond to challenges;
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workforce needs;
  • Familiarity with local labor laws and recruitment best practices and trends in talent acquisition.
