About Wynn Al Marjan Island
Scheduled to open in 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the UAE's inaugural integrated resort located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 dining and lounge venues, a theater, beach club, various pools, a five-star spa and salon, a shopping promenade, and facilities for events and celebrations.
Position Overview
We are seeking a capable Assistant Shift Manager for Asset Protection to strengthen our security team.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of all security operations during your shift across gaming and non-gaming zones, serving as the primary on-duty authority for security concerns.
- Guide the Security Supervisor in allocating security personnel effectively to maintain comprehensive coverage and prompt response.
- Ensure a secure and controlled atmosphere throughout the property with active supervision and monitoring of posts.
- Verify adherence to gaming regulations, internal policies, and security protocols.
- Manage access to restricted areas, including gaming floors and back-of-house locations, ensuring only authorized entry.
- Lead security response to incidents, disturbances, suspicious behaviors, medical emergencies, and other incidents in all areas.
- Coordinate with the Security Operations Center, Corporate Investigations team, and other departments during incident handling and follow-up actions.
- Monitor for threats to security, prohibited activities, and factors impacting gaming integrity and guest safety.
- Promptly escalate and report major incidents to senior security management and relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee conduct, appearance, and performance standards of the security team and provide coaching and corrective instructions as needed.
- Conduct shift briefings and handovers to communicate operational priorities and incidents.
- Ensure all documentation such as shift logs and incident reports are accurate, complete, and submitted timely.
- Manage guest-related matters like disputes, refusals of entry, and removals in line with policy.
- Maintain operational readiness of all security equipment and communication tools.
- Inspect security posts, patrol routes, and access points regularly to identify and resolve any deficiencies.
- Oversee emergency response activities including evacuations and business continuity efforts.
- Collaborate closely with departments such as gaming, hotel services, food and beverage, and entertainment to support uninterrupted and secure operations.
- Promote high standards of guest-focused service ensuring security measures comply with legal and policy frameworks.
- Provide operational feedback and suggestions to enhance security procedures continuously.
Candidate Profile
- At least five years of leadership experience in security within large integrated resorts is mandatory.
- Proven ability to lead sizable teams effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in security or related field required.
- Certification as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) by ASIS International is preferred.
- Exhibit strong leadership qualities and sound professional judgment.
- Maintain high levels of integrity, discretion, and accountability.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Deep understanding of operations in gaming, hospitality, and security environments.
- Strong analytical skills with risk-awareness and decision-making competence.
- Capability to remain calm, adaptable, and resilient when faced with pressure.
