Job description
Overview
This role is part of the Human Resources Division at Singapore Airlines, dedicated to supporting workforce development efforts centered on improving internal mobility and readiness for placement within the company. The selected individual will engage closely with business units to identify employees who require career coaching and development support, collaborating with other stakeholders to discover suitable opportunities and monitor program effectiveness through outcome tracking and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide career guidance, including advisory and enrollment in Career Transition Programmes, while encouraging active participation among employees.
- Conduct competency-based assessments for role matching and advise both line managers and employees accordingly.
- Engage with business divisions, hiring managers, and employees to align expectations and facilitate prompt placements and developmental progress.
- Develop and manage individual skill-enhancement and placement plans by coordinating with training, on-the-job training, and coaching resources to bolster employee readiness for new roles.
- Manage the internal placement pipeline thoroughly by addressing challenges such as skill gaps and scheduling conflicts; propose alternatives and facilitate opportunities within the broader SIA Group companies.
- Oversee program governance including maintenance of trackers, dashboards, quarterly progress reports, and action logs; monitor key performance indicators, identify risks and insights, and lead corrective action to resolution.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required.
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience in project management and business partner roles.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to drive timely follow-ups and closure among multiple parties.
- Strong communication abilities capable of explaining processes clearly to managers and employees, and managing sensitive change scenarios with tact.
- Proven project management skills including managing timelines, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
- Comfort with data management including tracking, dashboard creation, and reporting is important.
- Prior experience or certification in career coaching or advisory services is advantageous.
