Overview
Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts located in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, seeks a full-time Sales Executive to join our team. This role focuses on delivering excellent guest service while driving revenue through effective sales strategies and maintaining brand loyalty.
Primary Responsibilities
- Communicate with respective departments such as Sales, Data Administration, and Accounting to resolve guest calls, requests, or issues.
- Apply sales techniques that maximize revenue while preserving guest loyalty to Marriott, including upselling premium options.
- Assign tokens of appreciation to guests, such as reward points, show tickets, and gift certificates.
- Promote and uphold the brand image internally and externally.
- Process cancellations of Marriott Rewards points.
- Handle all room reservations, modifications, requests, and cancellations via phone, fax, or email.
- Record Marriott Rewards program information accurately using appropriate reservation software.
- Manage all guest communications including calls, inquiries, requests, and concerns efficiently.
- Support sales and marketing through general office duties such as filing, emailing, transcribing information, and faxing.
- Assist management by motivating and training staff and acting as a role model.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintain a neat and professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests following company standards, anticipate their service needs, and show genuine appreciation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, prepare accurate written documents, and handle telephones according to established protocols.
- Foster positive working relationships, support team objectives, and appropriately address employee concerns.
- Monitor the performance of team members to ensure compliance with quality standards and expectations.
- Visually verify and review information presented in various formats.
- Physically manage objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Desired Qualifications
- Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related role.
- Supervisory Experience: Not required.
- Licenses or Certifications: None required.
