About the Role
The Internal Security Department (ISD) plays a vital role in maintaining Singapore's internal security by addressing various threats including espionage, extremism, and terrorism. Within ISD, the Workplace Services Division is responsible for overseeing the organisation's physical infrastructure and logistics. This Executive (Policy and Plans Office) position involves strategic planning and policy development to ensure the effective management of these resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in long-term planning to meet ISD’s current and future needs regarding physical infrastructure and logistics.
- Design and execute masterplans related to infrastructure and logistical operations.
- Formulate policies and guidelines that promote the efficient utilization of physical spaces and resources.
- Assess resource requests and recommend appropriate solutions to involved parties.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of emerging building technologies and facilities management trends.
- Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency through innovation and digital technologies in facilities and logistics management.
- Establish and maintain strategic collaborations with industry partners.
- Plan and oversee the professional growth of officers within the Workplace Services Division.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a recognized tertiary qualification in fields such as Building, Facilities Management, Engineering, Social Science, or related areas.
- Demonstrates strong analytical abilities and excels at multitasking while working independently and collaboratively with different stakeholders.
- Highly motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and resourceful individual.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), teleconferencing platforms (MS Teams, Skype), and SharePoint.
- Preferably has a minimum of two years’ experience in the built environment sector and/or corporate planning.
- Knowledge or experience in public sector procurement processes and contract administration is a plus.
