Executive - Inventory

Role Overview

The Executive - Inventory is responsible for planning and executing inventory control activities, supervising the inventory team, managing scanning and bin processes, ensuring inventory accuracy, and coordinating with retail operations to maintain smooth workflow and high standards.

Primary Duties

• Organize inventory planning and execution, assigning bins, areas, and tasks to team members for optimal efficiency.
• Supervise daily barcode scanning tasks using PDT/RF devices, ensuring completion within designated timelines.
• Lead, guide and monitor Inventory Control Assistants, briefing them on daily objectives and providing operational support.
• Oversee inventory accuracy by investigating discrepancies, arranging recounts, and escalating issues when needed.
• Track team performance against scanning and accuracy goals, preparing daily reports and implementing corrective measures.
• Work closely with Retail Store Management, stockroom, and other departments to synchronize inventory activities.
• Ensure proper use of scanning technology and report any system or hardware malfunctions promptly.
• Promote strict adherence to company SOPs, safety guidelines, and maintain an organized, secure workplace.

Qualifications & Experience

• Educational background includes a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Retail Management, Logistics, or related fields preferred.
• Proven experience of 2–4 years in inventory control, stock management, warehouse operations, or retail management.
• Prior retail experience, especially within large retail, fashion, lifestyle, FMCG, or multiple store settings, is advantageous.
• Experience in team leadership or supervision is favored.
• Familiarity with PDT/RF barcode scanning systems and inventory management software is beneficial.
