About the Role
Join Parsons Corporation in Riyadh as an Excellence Director, providing senior-level leadership and oversight for quality, continuous improvement, risk management, training, and knowledge sharing within a major program. This role ensures alignment with both customer expectations and Parsons' excellence standards, utilizing strategic direction to develop and refine Quality Management Systems and excellence initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise quality, risk, and improvement activities in compliance with organizational frameworks.
- Participate in recruitment, staffing decisions, and conduct employee performance appraisals, including recommending promotions or disciplinary actions.
- Manage salary planning and administration processes for merit and promotion considerations.
- Oversee the application and advancement of Parsons Quality Management System through procedure development, data reporting, and training.
- Maintain certifications related to excellence and quality standards.
- Engage with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to drive performance improvements and organizational objectives.
- Facilitate training programs in Quality and Risk across business units.
- Promote a continuous improvement culture throughout the program and Parsons.
- Provide coaching and support to both Parsons and client staff, assessing training needs and enhancing capabilities.
- Coordinate quality-related communications among programs, clients, contractors, and internal departments.
- Analyze quality performance data to identify trends and advise executive management accordingly.
- Contribute to management reviews by providing input on performance metrics and system enhancements.
- Perform additional duties relevant to the position as required.
Skills and Competencies
- Master-level expertise in Quality Management principles and current industry practices.
- Strong background in implementing quality standards such as ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, and ASTM.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging executive and client stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct business analysis including ROI and cost evaluations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving and risk assessment abilities.
- Experience directing teams and managing quality projects toward timely completion.
- Knowledge across multiple industry sectors including infrastructure, government, aviation, process, or transportation.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related science from an accredited institution.
- At least 20 years of professional oversight experience in project controls, environment, safety, health, risk management, contracts, procurement, financial management, quality assurance, and control on large-scale projects.
- Expertise in project process improvement, change management, and leadership within infrastructure projects, especially involving government or semi-government entities, with preference for experience in the Middle East and particularly Saudi Arabia.
- Over 10 years in supervisory or management roles.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation and presentation skills.
Licenses and Certifications
- Quality-related certifications such as CMQ/OE, CQA, or CQE, or willingness to attain within six months of hiring.
- Preferred membership in recognized national Quality organizations.
- Preferred Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer registration.
Key Relationships
- Reports to Vice President, Quality and Executive Management.
- Supervises Quality, Risk, and Training staff.
- Collaborates internally with all project teams and corporate functions.
- Liaises externally with customer personnel.
