Job description

Overview

We are looking for a results-oriented and proactive IT Project Manager to lead and oversee critical technology projects within a fast-paced, collaborative environment located onsite in Nairobi County, Kenya. Ideal candidates will bring excellent organization skills and demonstrated ability in managing several projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards, budgets, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of diverse IT projects.
  • Create and upkeep detailed project plans, schedules, budgeting, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate efforts between internal teams and external parties to achieve project goals.
  • Identify project risks early and apply mitigation strategies to avoid complications.
  • Provide clear communication on project status, risks, and results to stakeholders across all levels.
  • Translate business needs into focused tasks and prioritize accordingly.
  • Support the development and management of project documentation, training resources, and presentations.
  • Facilitate all phases of project lifecycle including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and success measures while aligning expectations of stakeholders.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance processes and contribute to efficiency improvements within operations.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and communication of project requirements, schedules, and outputs.
  • Maintain responsibility for upholding standards of quality, budget adherence, and timeline compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent level of experience, preferably in a technology-related discipline.
  • At least two years’ experience in Technical Project Management or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills coupled with adept presentation abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and time management.
  • Strategic mindset with aptitude for effective problem solving.
  • Capacity to prioritize work in a dynamic, fast-moving setting.
  • Dedication to achieving outstanding project outcomes.

Additional Information

  • This position requires 100% on-site presence.
  • English language proficiency at C1 level is mandatory.
