Job Summary

Carry out essential cleaning duties and maintain all casino areas and grounds in a clean, orderly, and appealing state.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular cleaning tasks including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, washing windows, walls, brass, emptying trash, and clearing sidewalks from snow or ice.
• Ensure proper sanitization and cleaning of restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed.
• Follow safe cleaning procedures and methods, including correct chemical usage, managing bloodborne pathogens, and safely lifting or moving heavy items.
• Conduct all work positively, professionally, and maintain courteous interactions with guests and coworkers.
• Compliance with all casino and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with shampoo and scrub crews when required.
• Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions as directed by supervisors.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Strong customer service capabilities.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to obtain a gaming license.
• Bi-cultural experience is preferred.
• Preference given to Native American candidates.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence.

Conditions of Employment

• Must have telephone access.
• Must be capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds frequently and above waist level.
• Must maintain good physical health.
• Must tolerate a smoky work environment with prolonged exposure to secondhand smoke.
