About the Role

This permanent position of Event Manager (Tradeshow) is focused on comprehensive oversight and execution of tradeshows and customer-facing events designed to enhance brand presence and drive business growth. The role is based in New York City with a hybrid work arrangement requiring three days onsite.

Start Date: Immediate

Compensation: $100,000 to $110,000 annually plus bonus

Authorization: Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorships are not available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage event budgets up to approximately $850,000, ensuring cost control and resource allocation.
  • Lead end-to-end event planning for 15 to 20 tradeshows yearly, handling vendor contracts, invoices, booth operations, and product procurement.
  • Simultaneously coordinate multiple events (2 to 10), each lasting between 2 to 5 days, including large national gatherings hosting 300 to 1,000 participants.
  • Collaborate with brand, marketing, and sales departments to align event strategies, staffing, and logistical arrangements.
  • Recommend and arrange staff requirements for each event to ensure sufficient support team coverage.
  • Travel 1 to 2 times per month for events, with each trip spanning 2 to 5 days.
  • Work alongside an events coordinator who assists across departments, delegating tasks as necessary.

Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum of five years in event management or tradeshow coordination roles.
  • Experience handling large-scale budgets up to $850,000 is essential.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage several events concurrently and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time and work independently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly as required for event attendance.

  • Prior experience in the beauty or cosmetics sector.
  • Skilled in vendor platform utilization and vendor relationship management.
  • Proven track record in dynamic, fast-paced environments with strong problem-solving skills.
