About the Role
We seek an experienced Contract Manager specializing in Post-Contract Administration to support our project team in Dubai. The role emphasizes managing contract activities once awarded, including claims, Extension of Time (EOT), contractual compliance, and contractor obligations. This position distinctly focuses on post-contract functions rather than general commercial management or quantity surveying tasks.
Key Duties
- Oversee and administer post-contract operations in line with contract terms and project needs.
- Examine and handle contractor claims, variations, and EOT requests.
- Track contractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual responsibilities.
- Review contractual communications, notices, and documentation thoroughly.
- Offer contract-related guidance to project teams and consultants.
- Evaluate entitlements and assist in preparing recommendations regarding claims and EOT submissions.
- Implement contract procedures accurately while maintaining detailed contract records.
- Identify contractual risks and collaborate with the project team to alleviate potential disputes.
- Liaise with technical, project management, and commercial teams on matters relating to contracts.
- Assist in resolving conflicts and disputes with contractors.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, ideally gained within consultancy or project management in the UAE.
- Demonstrated expertise in post-contract management, claims handling, EOT, variations, and contractor performance monitoring.
- Solid familiarity with standard contract forms such as FIDIC.
- Comprehensive knowledge of contractual protocols, notices, entitlement validation, and claims evaluation.
- Experience on Dubai or Abu Dhabi projects is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
