Job description
About the Role
Lusail International Circuit seeks an Event Coordinator to aid in planning and executing events at their venue. Collaborating closely with the Event Manager and the broader event team, the coordinator will handle event requirements from the initial stages through to on-site execution.
This position is a fixed-term contract lasting 12 months with the potential for extension based on performance and the organization's needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing, coordinating, and managing event setup and onsite event delivery.
- Serve as the primary daily contact for clients, supporting their operational needs during events.
- Manage the arrangement of event spaces, signage, branding elements, wayfinding, catering areas, and other venue-related necessities.
- Liaise with internal teams, external suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely fulfillment of event requirements.
- Maintain accurate event schedules, documentation, accreditation details, and operational records.
- Help track and handle event assets, equipment, and furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E).
- Assist in preparing venue spaces such as suites, lounges, offices, and other areas used during events.
- Support event operations on live event days, promptly resolving any operational challenges.
- Contribute to post-event activities including teardown, reconciliation, and reporting.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of two years practical experience in event coordination, ideally in sports, entertainment, or other large-scale event environments.
- Demonstrated involvement in event setup, venue operations, logistics, supplier coordination, and client service, with hands-on operational exposure rather than solely administrative roles.
- Possession of an associate degree or higher qualification in Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent organizational capabilities, communication skills, and problem-solving aptitude.
- Willingness and ability to work in a high-pressure event setting, including extended or irregular shifts as necessary.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must currently reside in Qatar and hold a valid Residence Permit (QID).
- Provision of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) may be required throughout the assignment period.
