About Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte Ltd (SSMC)
SSMC is a joint venture between NXP and TSMC specializing in semiconductor fabrication. They focus on flexible and cost-efficient wafer manufacturing by leveraging a fully equipped SMIF cleanroom, complete automation of equipment, and established processes for wafer production.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Etch Process Engineer to join our Etching Process Engineering III Department. This role involves advancing process capabilities to fulfill operational objectives while maintaining strict quality control and execution discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance process capabilities to achieve operational targets with a quality-first approach.
- Lead new process developments and manage the transfer of processes to production.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to improve yield and productivity.
- Identify and resolve process-related issues through troubleshooting.
- Sustain and enhance process capability indices such as CpK.
- Qualify and approve equipment/tools to meet manufacturing capacity requirements.
- Evaluate and qualify alternative sources to reduce costs.
- Plan and implement engineering projects to improve processes.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives including 10k ideas, Lean Six Sigma (LSS), and Best Known Methods (BKM) to develop cost-effective and stable processes with high quality.
- Create, monitor, and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts.
- Complete all necessary documentation adhering to internal procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, science or an equivalent field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience within semiconductor manufacturing; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply as training is provided.
- Fundamental engineering knowledge relevant to semiconductor devices theory, electronics, digital principles, and wafer fabrication processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office business applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborative team player with ownership and responsibility.
- Positive attitude towards learning and adaptability under time constraints.
- Detail-conscious and able to manage pressure effectively.
