Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd. (SSMC) is a joint venture between NXP and TSMC, providing flexible and cost-effective semiconductor fabrication solutions. The company operates within a fully automated SMIF cleanroom environment supported by proven wafer manufacturing processes.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing, Production Planning I Department. This role is essential for overseeing and optimizing production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and operational efficiency in a semiconductor wafer fabrication setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee production operations to achieve daily and monthly manufacturing objectives by efficiently utilizing manpower, materials, and machinery in a safe and healthy environment.
- Develop and execute strategies for work-in-process (WIP) movement to maximize throughput, minimize idle time, and maintain smooth production flow.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to address critical focus areas and variances requiring immediate resolution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve line-related issues, perform preventive maintenance, and understand equipment capabilities and constraints to manage bottlenecks effectively.
- Coach and train Manufacturing Leaders and Assistants to enhance skills for efficient operations.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing section to boost quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with safety, discipline, and housekeeping standards, taking appropriate action against violations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure data integrity across operations.
- Support production through shift work as directed by the Section Manager.
Candidate Profile
- Holder of a Degree in Science or Engineering with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Preferably 1 to 3 years of wafer fabrication manufacturing experience; fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Genuine interest in wafer fabrication manufacturing processes.
- Strong leadership qualities and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent analytical and planning skills.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts as required.
