Role Overview

We seek experienced Estimators to join our accomplished project teams situated in Dublin. Candidates will enjoy working on prestigious projects for blue-chip clients within a vibrant and challenging atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare comprehensive cost estimates by thoroughly examining drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and gaps within tender documentation to secure optimal commercial outcomes.
• Source competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining and regularly updating a precise cost database.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals, including assessing risks and exploring value engineering possibilities.
• Work in partnership with the Quantity Surveying team during pre-contract discussions.
• Coordinate with the Chief Estimator and senior leadership to ensure all submissions meet contractual and deadline requirements.
• Collaborate with commercial and project teams to finalize budgets before project initiation.
• Oversee and control preliminary budgets throughout tendering phases.
• Build and sustain strong client relationships throughout tender and negotiation stages.
• Compile and analyze cost data alongside benchmarking reports to aid decision-making.
• Maintain long-term partnerships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
• Keep abreast of market trends, pricing changes, and regulatory updates impacting the industry.
• Ensure tender processes comply with company policies, governance, and contract standards.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a third-level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or closely related field.
• Have a minimum of three years' experience in estimating or commercial roles within construction.
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of construction techniques and current labor, plant, and material costs.
• Exhibit strong commercial awareness with excellent numerical and analytical capabilities.
• Skilled in data analysis and interpretation.
• Able to work effectively within a team environment.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management expertise.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex tender documentation.
• Perform well under pressure and meet rigorous deadlines.
• Employ a methodical, proactive, and problem-solving approach.
• Be resilient and adaptable to a fast-moving work environment.
