Role Overview
The Estimator position is a vital part of our preconstruction team. This role involves preparing precise and competitive cost proposals for various commercial and industrial projects. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure comprehensive bids that align with project objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine accurate time, cost, material, and labor requirements.
- Obtain and assess quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Engage in bid strategy sessions and facilitate smooth project handoffs.
- Maintain and update databases of historical costs and unit pricing.
- Coordinate with the project team to guarantee a seamless transition from estimating to project execution.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction estimating.
- Proficient in using estimating software tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, and AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical thinking and excellent organizational capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
