Position Summary

We are searching for a seasoned Estimator to join our team and contribute to maintaining our position as a leader in the sitework industry, particularly in the Midwest. This role requires leveraging construction plans to produce accurate cost estimates, collaborating closely with project stakeholders, and ensuring projects remain within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine construction drawings and specifications to identify project needs.
• Calculate costs associated with materials, labor, and equipment for various projects.
• Work in partnership with project managers and engineers to refine cost projections.
• Develop comprehensive bid proposals tailored for potential clients.
• Engage in negotiation of contracts and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Track and manage costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring budget compliance.
• Assess change orders and evaluate their financial implications.
• Use construction management software effectively.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in construction estimating or a related discipline.
• Strong grasp of cost control and project management processes.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contractual documents.
• Exceptional analytical skills with close attention to detail.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency with estimating software and relevant tools.
• Capable of working independently under deadlines.
