Role Overview

We are recruiting an Estimator to lead the preconstruction and bidding process specifically for commercial construction projects centered on K-12 education and public works sectors.

Key Duties

  • Generate detailed quantity takeoffs, accurate cost estimates, and comprehensive bid packages for K-12 and public works projects
  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and documents to define precise project scopes and formulate pricing approaches
  • Solicit, review, and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers to produce competitive and thorough proposals
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers and leadership during preconstruction stages to assist with budgeting, value engineering, and project handover activities

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as an Estimator in commercial construction, preferably with exposure to K-12 and public works projects
  • Solid knowledge of public bidding protocols, prevailing wage laws, and government procurement procedures
  • Proficiency in takeoff and estimating software in conjunction with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities to thrive in deadline-driven environments
