About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Estimator with a collaborative approach and excellent ability to prioritize tasks. In this significant role, you will analyze project specifications and contract plans to produce accurate cost estimates and recommend construction methods that align with project budgets, timelines, and goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope and estimation requirements.
• Integrate historical project data such as purchase orders and productivity reports into unit pricing and labor hour calculations.
• Provide technical insights on project and contract risks to support the lead estimator in bid price validation.
• Generate discipline-specific estimates by performing detailed takeoffs and calculating material quantities using engineering drawings.
• Track client addenda and communicate changes to the estimation team throughout the estimating period.
• Support design reviews by recommending cost-effective and quality engineering solutions.
• Collaborate closely with the estimating and project management teams during project hand-off meetings.
• Identify and recommend vendors and subcontractors to meet project scope and cost efficiency objectives.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the construction sector, specifically in estimating or cost control roles.
• Proficient in using HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating software.
• Strong technical writing and communication capabilities.
• Familiarity with alternative construction delivery approaches is a plus.

Salary Range

Annual compensation ranges from USD 110,000 to USD 140,000.
