Job description
Role Summary
Take charge of the Estimation and Tendering operations for significant EPC projects spanning industries such as Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Power, Utilities, Industrial, and Infrastructure. Oversee bid strategies, cost assessments, commercial reviews, risk analyses, and ensure successful tender submissions that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional bid teams through all stages of the tender process.
- Formulate bidding plans, cost approximations, and develop commercial bids.
- Examine all tender-related documents, technical drawings, specifications, and contract terms.
- Detect and assess potential technical, commercial, contractual, and execution risks.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Planning, Finance, Commercial, and Project Controls departments.
- Maintain and foster relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and joint venture associates.
- Guarantee the punctual delivery of competitive, compliant project bids.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering mandatory; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Between 18 to 20 or more years of experience in Estimation and Tendering within EPC or large construction environments.
- Demonstrated expertise across Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, LNG, Petrochemical, Power, and Utility projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FIDIC and EPC contracting principles.
- Proven capabilities in leading strategic bid management and making informed commercial decisions.
Competencies
- Proficient in quantity take-offs, resource scheduling, construction methods, and cost projections.
- Deep understanding of EPC project lifecycles, tendering procedures, and commercial assessment.
- Superior analytical skills paired with risk evaluation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement talents.
- Capable of handling multiple lucrative bids simultaneously under stringent deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including presenting and report preparation.
- Preparedness to undertake international travel whenever necessary.
