About Georgetown Raiders
The Georgetown Raiders are a competitive ice hockey club based in Georgetown, Ontario, committed to player development and delivering an outstanding game-day experience. Staff and volunteers collaborate closely with coaches and players to maintain high standards in equipment management, facility upkeep, and overall team operations.
Role Overview
This on-site position entails responsibility for preparing, organizing, and maintaining hockey equipment to support practices, games, and other team functions. Duties include distributing and inspecting gear, assisting in skate sharpening and minor repairs, managing equipment inventory, and preparing locker rooms and benches before and after events. Additional tasks involve keeping equipment areas clean and safe, coordinating with coaching and training staff regarding equipment needs, and aiding in packing and transporting gear for both home and away fixtures.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Organizational skills to track inventory and maintain tidy storage spaces following established protocols.
- Basic understanding of hockey equipment and enthusiasm to learn skate sharpening and equipment repair techniques.
- Proficient time management to ensure efficient preparation and clean-up aligned with team schedules.
- Good communication abilities to interact professionally and respectfully with coaches, players, and colleagues.
- Physical capability to lift equipment bags, move gear, and stand for long durations.
- Dependability, punctuality, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and game days as scheduled.
- Interest in sports operations or equipment management; experience volunteering or working in athletic teams is advantageous.
