About the Role
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Equipment Maintenance Technician and contribute to our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You will be part of a global team recognized for taking on some of the biggest scientific challenges, supporting production equipment to maintain reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production by performing shift duties on a rotating 12-hour shift basis every 4 months.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance following the planned maintenance schedule and detailed specifications.
- Maintain organized and safe workspaces within production and maintenance support zones.
- Assist Engineers during evaluations, experiments, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure uninterrupted production by minimizing machine downtime through timely repairs and equipment support.
- Comply with regulatory requirements including ISO 13485:2003 and 21 CFR – 820 standards in all maintenance activities.
- Provide constructive feedback and suggestions to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Mentor and support new colleagues by serving as an On-the-Job Training buddy.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation and integrity of preventive maintenance results.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum education: Higher secondary education with technical experience, High School Diploma, Advanced Certificate, or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in manufacturing, operations, production, laboratory, or related fields.
- Experience working in a current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) compliant environment is preferred.
Skills and Attributes

- Hands-on technical expertise in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Physical and Environmental Conditions
- Able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds without assistance.
- Work environment includes cleanroom settings requiring adherence to strict hygiene protocols (e.g., no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, or facial hair).
- Handling of hazardous or toxic materials may be involved.
Work Schedule
Rotating 12-hour shifts every 4 months.
