Overview
We are seeking a motivated and precise Data Analyst at an entry or junior level to join our team based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. This full-time role offers a hybrid work arrangement within a dynamic Data & Analytics / Business Intelligence department. The position is perfect for graduates or newcomers eager to enhance their expertise working with practical business datasets and analytics tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting, cleaning, validating, and organizing data from varied sources.
- Analyzing data to detect trends, patterns, and potential business opportunities.
- Producing regular reports, dashboards, charts, and concise analytical summaries.
- Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and investigating unusual data behaviors.
- Providing data-driven insights and recommendations to business units.
- Conducting data-quality assessments and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintaining detailed spreadsheets, databases, and analytical documentation.
- Assisting in forecasting, performance reviews, and handling ad-hoc data requests.
- Creating clear visualizations to effectively communicate analytical outcomes.
- Collaborating closely with teams in Finance, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Technology.
- Supporting improvements to operational processes based on data analysis.
- Delivering findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Candidate Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or similar disciplines preferred.
- Open to fresh graduates and junior-level applicants.
- Fundamental proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis methodologies.
- Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Python is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and critical reasoning abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
