The English Editing Department ensures all manuscripts are published with precision, clarity, grammatical accuracy, and uniformity.
Position Summary
The company is seeking meticulous English Editors based in Singapore to refine scholarly articles for publication. This entry-level, full-time onsite role involves editing academic manuscripts to elevate them to publication-ready standards while preserving the authors’ intended message and voice. Selected candidates will undergo in-house training and may expand their responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Refine and edit academic papers submitted to MDPI journals to ensure clarity, grammatical correctness, and consistency.
- Apply expertise in the English language and manuscript context to uphold clear communication without altering the author’s voice excessively.
- Ensure adherence to MDPI editorial standards and house rules.
- Deliver quality work under tight deadlines and meet set targets consistently.
- Engage in additional duties such as training colleagues and editing corporate content.
- Collaborate closely with Editorial and Production teams throughout the editorial workflow.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor's degree in any discipline is mandatory.
- Proficient knowledge of English with demonstrated experience in editing, translation, or publishing sectors.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities complemented by excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a multicultural international team.
- Legal eligibility to work in Singapore.
- Desirable qualifications include prior professional experience in academic research, editing, or publishing, familiarity with LaTeX typesetting, and experience in office environments.

Recruitment Process
