Position Summary

The company is seeking meticulous English Editors based in Singapore to refine scholarly articles for publication. This entry-level, full-time onsite role involves editing academic manuscripts to elevate them to publication-ready standards while preserving the authors’ intended message and voice. Selected candidates will undergo in-house training and may expand their responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Refine and edit academic papers submitted to MDPI journals to ensure clarity, grammatical correctness, and consistency.
• Apply expertise in the English language and manuscript context to uphold clear communication without altering the author’s voice excessively.
• Ensure adherence to MDPI editorial standards and house rules.
• Deliver quality work under tight deadlines and meet set targets consistently.
• Engage in additional duties such as training colleagues and editing corporate content.
• Collaborate closely with Editorial and Production teams throughout the editorial workflow.

Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor's degree in any discipline is mandatory.
• Proficient knowledge of English with demonstrated experience in editing, translation, or publishing sectors.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities complemented by excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a multicultural international team.
• Legal eligibility to work in Singapore.
• Desirable qualifications include prior professional experience in academic research, editing, or publishing, familiarity with LaTeX typesetting, and experience in office environments.
